Evelyn Lake - Yosemite National Park

Hiker enjoying the expansive view northeast from near Evelyn Lake, Yosemite National Park high country. Reaching Evelyn Lake after a few hour hike from Fletcher Lake, I was greeted with expansive views north through Yosemite National Park. I was surprised at how barren Evelyn Lake appeared to be, especially with the layer of snow across the meadows surrounding the lake. I tried to capture this feeling with this photo, leaving myself in the foreground to give perspective as to the expansiveness of the view.
