Cedar Waxwing on a Berry bush

Cedar Waxwing eating a berry, Shoreline Lake Vicinity, Mountain View, California. Cedar Waxwings often travel in large flocks, and at times can be seen devouring berry bushes in the span of minutes. This photo was taken on the western shore of Shoreline Lake, where several berry bushes line the trail. This particular Cedar Waxwing was one of perhaps a hundred, as several birds within the flock took turns flying in to eat a few berries before quickly flying away to find cover with the majority of the flock of birds nearby.
