~ Burrowing Owl ~

Despite my patience, this Burrowing Owl seemed just too tired to open its eyes wider than this, Shoreline Park, Mountain View, CA. The owl was standing guard outside its den, about 20 feet from the road and 20 feet from the greens of a golf course. Hopefully neither of these two threats will effect this owl (or its family).
