Tresidder Peak Yosemite National park

Snow and suncups below Tresidder Peak, Yosemite National Park. On an afternoon hike towards the crest below Tresidder Peak, I was struck by the resemblance between the patters of the clouds and suncups, causing me to pause every few minutes to appreciate the view.

This peak is named after Donald B. Tressider, President of both the Yosemite Park & Curry Co and Stanford University in the early 20th century. Tressider is know for - amongst other major accomplishments - building the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley.
