Harriet Lake - Yosemite National Park

Harriet Lake

Dusk over Long Mountain and Harriet Lake, Yosemite National Park. The eastern shore of Harriet Lake was lined with this foliage which, in many locations, lay flat as if some large animal used the plants as a resting spot. The coyote calls I heard while approaching the lake a possible clue as to the identity.

To get to this remote and untrailed lake, I hiked over the ridge to the west (right) of Long Mountain (center), the plateau I traversed can be seen from right to left just below Long Mountain.
