Chestnut Backed Chickadee showing off the feature where it got its name, San Francisco Peninsula, California. A very small and quick bird ranging along the Pacific Coast from California to Alaska, the Chestnut Backed Chickadee nests within holes rather than open nests, using a large amount of fur to make up its nest (from All About Birds).
