Tableland - Sequoia National Park

'Tableland' is located high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, Sequoia National Park. The approach into Tableland is usually from the west from the Wolverton Trailhead. Following the trail up to popular Pear Lake, the route into Tableland begins cross country following the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River. Relatively easy cross country travel brings hikers onto a desolate and flat area known as Tableland. The 'rim' - or summit - of Tableland has incredible views in every direction, and it is like being on top of the world.
